About Us

College History

The Australian International Islamic College opened in 2002 at Buranda Campus with 20 students from years 1, 2 & 3 under the name of Brisbane Muslim School.

In the 2nd year of operation the school was extended from preschool to Grade 5 with 60 children at both Agnes Street, Buranda and the adjoining property at Bruce Street, Buranda.

The College enrolments increased to 93 students in 2004 and catered for Pre School to Year 7.

The facility at Agnes Street, Buranda included 4 classrooms, library, office, staffroom, boys, girls and staff toilets.

The facility at Bruce Street, Buranda included 4 classrooms, library, storeroom, office, canteen, assembly area, car park, boys, girls and staff toilets.

Both of the above facilities were exclusively funded by the Australian Islamic Educational Trust and by the generous support of the local Muslim Community.

Due to the high demand for facilities and services, a new campus was established at Blunder Road, Durack. This facility accommodated Prep-school to Grade 10 in 2007 and  extended to Kindy Classes and Year 11 in 2008, as well as to Year 12 in 2009.  The College has become full functional  Kindy to Year 12 in 2010.

Let us remember Almighty Allah (SWT) for guiding us through our growing years. It has indeed been a great challenge and with his blessing, we have achieved and progressed towards a positive and bright future for our College.

May Allah (SWT) empower us with the strength and knowledge to continue our journey with the College.

May we grow and succeed Insha-Allah
